Hi, I’m Matt Wright.

I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma with my wife and our two kids, a boy and a girl. Family comes first for me. I care about building a home that feels steady, honest, and centered on what matters.

I’m a minister, and I teach Sunday school. That work keeps me close to people’s real questions and real struggles. It also keeps me accountable to live what I say I believe. I don’t want faith to be a set of labels or a Sunday routine. I want it to shape how I speak, how I work, how I lead my family, and how I treat people when no one is watching.

Ministry and Teaching

Ministry has a way of bringing you back to what matters. You sit with people who are carrying heavy things. You talk with people who are trying to make sense of their lives. You teach people who want answers they can trust.

Sunday school is one of my favorite places to serve. I love taking big ideas and making them clear. I love helping people connect Scripture to daily life. I love watching someone understand a passage in a new way and leave with a stronger footing.

Writing

I’m also a writer. Writing is one of the ways I think clearly. It’s where I work through ideas, questions, and convictions.

On this site, you’ll find:

  • Nonfiction on faith, mindset, discipline, failure, restoration, and truth
  • Fiction that stays clean, moves fast, and carries a Christian worldview under the surface
  • Short notes and personal reflections, the kind you can read quickly but sit with for a while

I don’t write to stir people up. I write to be honest. I write to put weight on the right things.

Why This Site Exists

This site is my corner of the internet. It’s a place to share what I’m learning, what I’m thinking, and what I’m building.

If you’re looking for writing that feels grounded, you’re in the right place. If you want something you can read and actually apply, I try to write that way.

If You Want to Keep Up

The easiest way to follow along is through the newsletter. You’ll get new posts, writing updates, and occasional behind-the-scenes notes. I keep it respectful of your inbox.
